Production Blog
Welcome to my Production Page!
When I’m not teaching or performing music, you can find me behind the scenes as a stage manager and production manager. My interest in the technical side of theater began at a young age and I’ve been extremely lucky to have both a career in performance and a career in production! Follow me on my production journey as I call cues, spike stages, and wear headsets that make me feel like Britney Spears.
Opening Night! This was such a fun show to produce, and because I didn’t stage manage, I could actually watch it very night! We had a stunning cast from Los Angeles and a sold out show every night. We had some technical challenges, like insecure WIFI, weather challenges, building a set in trees, and an extremely fast load in/out - but it all came together for two beautiful weekends of performances!
For Iolanta, I acted as both the production manager and stage manager. We got to work with a fantastic cast, including Cristina Jones, LA’s Blind Soprano, to create the first Iolanta with an actual member of the blind community as the lead.

Howdy, Modi!
NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
The Indian Express
Stage managing and calling the show for this event was probably the most challenging, rewarding, and pivotal experience of my production life. I worked with the amazingly talented and creative producer, Heena Patel, and her team at MELA Productions and the in-house crew at the NRG Stadium. This event was spectacular in size and importance. We had 50, 000 audience members which packed the stadium, I worked alongside the secret service, and I called the show which consisted of Prime Minister of India and the President of the United States, Senators, Members of Congress, Texas Government Officials, and 350+ performers.
First day at the Stadium
First of all, let me state what I hope is obvious. I am not a supporter of our former president or PM Modi. I do not support their politics and I do not align with their policies or world views. I respect MELA Productions for maintaining a level of professionalism and separating the team’s political views from the job we had to do. Please absolve me from my sins of working on an event that featured Trump and Ted Cruz!
I’ve never worked an event where a giant crane was INSIDE the venue!

A Woman’s Life: The Diary of Virginia Woolf
Zilkha Hall Hobby Center for Performing Arts, Houston, TX
It was a joy to stage manage this beautiful and poignant piece - and it was so much fun working closely with director and pianist, Sara Rothenberg and production team at DACAMERA.
